Third graders from Mrs.Diane Bullock's class at Meeker Elementary recently hand-tied fleece blankets as a part of a service project. These blankets will be donated to the Blank Children's Hospital Neonatal Incentive Care Unit(NICU)to provide warmth and comfort for their premature and critically-ill newborns. The project gave the class a sense of community as they made 15 blankets. "Making blankets was fun. Everyone helped each other,"commented Marlys O'Neal."We did it because we care for others,"Samantha Carney reflected."I felt happiness for helping as much as I can."
