A dream of traveling to Canada and U.S.A.

Has already gaily come true in a successful way,

Which has been lasting for over fourty years

The moment we were first at college one day.

Our plane was up above the earth so high

First time we saw the sun-rise in the sky,

Our flight was from Hong Kong to San Francisco

We spent the two same days of 15th July.

Meeting our student of Grade 77 is uneasy,

A visit to the Gold Gate Bridge is very happy,

So the winding path of all kinds of flowers,

Which fascinated us greatly by its beauty.

A day’s tour in New York was really exciting,

Many high-rises together are upstanding,

Going on a cruise about the Statue of Liberty,

Times Square looks busy, brilliant and amazing.

Toranto is the biggest city in South Canada,

Where we saw the world’s tallest TV Tower,

In rain paying a visit to Toranto University,

Being famous for its majors and computer data.

Niagara Falls, a wonder of Nature, we’ve never seen,

Maid of the Mist Falls look like a huge silver screen,

And the Bridal Veil Falls where we’ve never been,

Nor have we cruised to the Horseshoe Falls and between.

Liberty Bell was seen on our way to Washington,

White House, Congress Building, and Memorial Hall of Lincon

Are respectfully paid homage to all day one by one,

Not meeting our friend, Dr. Weiner’s daughter, but on the phone.

Las Vegas, night town of casino and joy, is sought greedily,

Grand Canyon is the most splendid world’s scenery,

Where we enjoyed ourselves so much as to forget to leave,

The merciless aeroplane took away my wife and me.

The scene of Music Fountain is grand, even brighter at night,

Its posture and movements are sweetly and girlishly light,

The Venice Hotel is the earth’s biggest and imposing

Which is not only charming, but boats are still clear in sight.

The second largest city of America is Los Angeles,

With the hugest city of Hollywood Universal Studios,

We watched burning cars and torrents happening suddenly,

If not on the scene, we wouldn’t have been the witnesses.

San Diego is a very beautiful millitory harbour,

To which a Mexico town, Tijuana we saw, is nearer,

The old Hotel of Colorado stands on the seashore,

The elegant, white building with red roofs impressed us deeper.

Honolulu in Hawaii we made a last tour of is one nice bay,

Which is so enchanting that we couldn’t tear ourselves away,

Birds, shores, houses and palm trees consists of a Peace Haven,

A perfect and harmonious combination of man and nature today.

The sixteen days’ trip has passed in a twinkling of an eye,

But our remembrance of all the above will never go and die,

The photos and videos will be kept in our hearts for good,

And all this just like a film shows us as yesterday or nearby.

那是在我们四十多年前,

大学同窗结友的某一天,

萌发要去加美同游之梦,

今天已将它愉悦地实现.

飞机航行在太空云深处,

第一次在天上看到日出,

我们从香港飞往三藩市,

度过两个十五日相同数.

见到七七学生真不容易,

游览金门大桥开心无比,

九曲花街的确名副其实,

留给我们的印象太美丽.

纽约一日游令人激动不已,

高楼密集度堪称世界第一,

乘坐游艇观赏自由女神像,

时代广场繁华得令人痴迷.

加拿大最大城市是多倫多,

雨中看世上最高电视塔座,

游览该国最大多倫多大学,

文理工科专业闻名于全国.

自然奇迹尼亚加拉大瀑布,

“雾中少女”尤如巨大屏幕,

“婚纱”瀑布我们不曾涉足,

“马蹄”瀑布乘船欣喜游渡.

途经费城参观古老独立钟,

晋谒林肯纪念堂以及白宫,

华盛顿一天行程来去匆匆,

未见朋友之女电告几分钟.

拉斯维加斯不夜城大赞叹,

大峡谷气贯长虹磅礴壮观,

尽情欣赏天工巧夺难离去,

无情飞机按时接我们回返.

场面壮观激扬的音乐喷泉,

舞姿翩翩轻盈如少女一般,

最大威尼斯酒店富丽堂皇,

夜色迷人贡都拉游船可见.

圣迭哥是个非常美丽军港,

去邻近墨西哥蒂娃娜观光,

海边耸立克罗拉多大酒店,

白墙红屋顶留下高雅印象.

夏威夷檀香山游玩好港湾,

如此迷人让我们流连忘返,

海鸟沙滩别墅象世外桃园,

完美和谐结合于人与自然.

十六天旅行瞬间已经过去,

但对所有的记忆永不结束,

照片摄像永远存留在心里,

这一切如电影般历历在目. ( 完 )
