继前年Daniel Powter的《Bad Day》、去年Chris Daughtry的《Home》在各位选手离开时在我们耳畔一次次的，成功演绎了排行榜神话之后，今年的美国偶像（American Idol）选择了唱作歌手Ferras的即将于今年4月1号发行的首张专辑《Aliens and Rainbows》的主打歌曲《Hollywood’s not America》作为新一季决赛阶段选手被淘汰时的elimination song。

在上周的Hollywood Week（S07E09、10）里，TOP24产生的同时，也意味着另外一百多位选手的离开。而这首质朴真切的《Hollywood’s not America》一次又一次的响起似乎是要告诉所有追逐梦想或者别的什么乱七八糟的东西的人们：他们的明星梦并没有终结——或许这就是FOX这种“民族主义”传媒最喜欢鼓吹的所谓“美国梦”所需要表现的。就像Ferras说的，这首歌，以及《Aliens and Rainbows》这张专辑讲述的正是：

“…that other place where you go in your mind, when you just want to escape – when the world lets you down, when you feel misunderstood. It is a place for dreamers and misfits and outsiders….”

不过，话说回来，这首美国味儿十足的歌曲还是很不错的，希望它能续写之前《Bad Day》、《Home》的辉煌。目前iTunes上已经开始发售这支单曲，有好心人也提供了高质量的ACC版本。
