This movie has been out there for a while, I thought it would be just another cheesy chick-flick and all that stuff. I finally got around to watch it, and it wasn't what I thought it is at all.

Two unrelated women living in totally different times was connected by their passion for food and life.

A lady called Julia moved to Paris with her husband in the 1940s, without anything particular to do she went to a cooking class because she loved eating and learned how to master French cuisine there, of course the process wasn't as easy as this. And after ups and downs, she managed to have a cookbook published for the servantless Americans(the word they used in the film).

Another lady called Julie who works a government job dealing with people claiming insurance after the 911 started a blog about cooking, and took on a challenge to cook all the recipes in Julia's cookbook within a year.

I love good food, just not a good cook myself simply because I am lazy. Of course I do cook but I just do the merely minimum to feed myself. After watching this film, it suddenly gave me the urge to cook.

Part of the film was set in Paris in the 1940s, and I love Paris and the old times. The vintage lifestyle was definitely something worth noticing in the film.

It also sticks out for me that through all the troubles these two girls been through in their life, there's this thing that I can't put into words that keeps them going for the things that they love and enjoy. Everything in life is the same, there will be the good times and the bumpy times, always look for that thing that'll keep us going no matter what.

I love watching, reading and getting to know about other people's lives, this film shows that how amazing it is that each of our lives can have an impact on other people's lives no matter who we are or what we do. There's always things within us that inspire other people so much if we allow them to come through. And how one person could just inspire and encourage the other to enjoy the things that they are passionate for. This film has certainly inspired me to some extend.
